Man dies after being hit by van on main road

A pedestrian who was seriously injured in a collision on a West Sussex main road earlier this month has died, police said.

The incident involving a Mercedes Vito van and a 75-year-old man from Worthing happened on the A27 Crockhurst Hill near to the junction with the A24 Offington roundabout at around 16:10 GMT on 6 December.

The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died on Thursday, according to Sussex Police. His family have been informed.

The driver of the van was uninjured.

Officers are investigating the full circumstances of the incident and are appealing for any information or dashcam footage.
