A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Glasgow.

Police Scotland were called to Melbourne Street in the city's Gallowgate area at about 06:30 on Monday.

The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. A second person received medical attention but was discharged at the scene.

Barrack Street and Bellgrove Street were closed for a number of hours but have since reopened. Inquiries remain ongoing.
