Two taken to hospital following house fire
Two people have been taken to hospital after a house fire in West Sussex.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) said they were called to a fire in Derek Road, Lancing, at 8:56 GMT on Monday.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended the incident and assessed two people who have been taken to Worthing Hospital for further checks.
A spokesperson from WSFRS said crews found a fire on the ground floor of the property and managed to extinguish the flames using two high-pressure hose reels.
"Firefighters administered oxygen therapy to one dog," added WSFRS.
Three fire engines attended the incident, two from Worthing and one from Shoreham.
Crews left the scene at 10:17 GMT.
