Emergency services were called to Talbot Road on Saturday morning

A substance found to be leaking from a parcel on a residential street in Shropshire was not harmful, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Talbot Road, Albrighton shortly before 10:50 GMT on Saturday, West Mercia Police said.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended, and cordons were put in place.

The force said experts concluded the contents of the package was not "suspicious or harmful" and the cordons were later lifted.

Nobody was injured or harmed, the force added.
