A non-league football club is putting in more seats for one of the biggest matches in its recent history.

Kettering Town has confirmed there will be an extra 258 temporary seats at its Latimer Park stadium for the second-round FA Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers.

The Poppies - who play in the seventh tier of English football - beat League One neighbours Northampton Town to reach round two proper for the first time since 2009.

It is thought the uncovered seating - which will not increase the 3000 capacity at Latimer Park - will be to the left of the away dugout, on the far side of the ground from the clubhouse.

Since the shock victory over Northampton - described by Poppies fan and photographer Peter Short as "the biggest win in Kettering Town's history" - the club has been busy preparing for the next round.

It has held three separate volunteer days, where fans have helped with painting, ground maintenance, general tidying and refurbishing.

Kettering Town play League Two Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup on 1 December.
