Armed police called to 'safety concerns' over man

A large number of police, including armed officers, have been called to a property in a Norfolk village over "concerns for safety of a man".

Six police vehicles and two ambulances have been attending the property in Marsham, near Aylsham.

Officers were called to the house in Norwich Road at about 19:15 BST on Tuesday, police said.

"Concerns were raised for the safety of a man living at the address," the force said.

"This has resulted in a number of police resources being deployed, who remain at the scene," it added.

Sarah Hambling, 35, from Harwich in Essex, has been staying with relatives in a rented holiday property next door.

"There was a drone flying around the garden last night," she said.

"At half one this morning the lights were flashing through the windows.

"We woke up this morning and there are two ambulances and a police car on the drive.

"We spoke to a police officer and asked if we're safe and he said we are safe, but it's a bit worrying when you've got armed police banging on doors saying 'armed police - open'.

"It's quite scary."
