Two arrested after stabbing in Plymouth

Two men have been arrested after a suspected stabbing in Plymouth, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called at about 19:35 BST on Tuesday after an altercation between residents at a property in Salisbury Road.

A man in his 20s, from Plymouth, suffered a suspected stab wound and was in hospital undergoing treatment, police said. His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.

Police said a man in his 50s, from Plymouth, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, while the injured man was arrested on suspicion of affray.

The force said both parties were believed to be known to each other and there was no wider threat.
