Two arrested after lit fireworks thrown into house
Two people have been arrested after a man was assaulted and lit fireworks were thrown at his house.
It happened at an address in the Coney Hill area shortly after 22:00 GMT on 31 October, police said.
A group of men armed with a baseball bat were seen pushing fireworks through the letterbox of a house, shouting at the occupier and punching him in the face, before launching lit fireworks through his windows and fleeing the scene.
Two men from Gloucester, aged 26 and 28, have since been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
Child threw fireworks
Gloucestershire Police said property was also stolen from the address, including bicycles.
A child was also seen throwing fireworks at the house on the evening of 2 November, at about 20:00 GMT.
In response to the incidents, the force sent additional police patrols to the area and said the people in the house had been "safeguarded".
The two suspects have been released on bail while inquiries continue.
