Warnings for coastal overtopping and ice have been issued due to strengthening winds across the Isle of Man.

Ronaldsway Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for waves breaking onto roads around high tide at midnight and again at 12:30 GMT on Friday.

Forecasters said strong winds were set to bring seawater on shore at exposed areas on the east and and south-east, particularly Douglas Promenade.

A yellow warning for ice on the higher ground has also been put in place from midnight until 11:00 on Friday.
