Plans for three townhouses in north approved
Planners have backed proposals for three three-storey detached townhouses in the north of the Isle of Man.
Proposals for the four-bedroom homes with rear gardens and parking were submitted by Fairway Construction Ltd.
Director Jonny Cowley said the development, on land next to St Olave's, on Jurby Road in Ramsey, would make "good use of an undeveloped brownfield site".
Plans for three detached houses and a bungalow along with the demolition of St Olave's House on land nearby were put forward by another firm last month.
The planning officer who recommended approval said the design, proportion, scale, form and finish of the properties were "appropriate" for the street scene and were similar to the recent planning approval on the St Olave's site.
The development had "no significant impacts on public or private amenities", the planning officer added.
Mr Cowley said the firm was "delighted" with the approval and hoped to begin construction "later this year".
