A lorry driver has been arrested after the body of a male pedestrian was found near a dual carriageway in north Wales.

North Wales Police said officers were called to the A55 near Kinmel Park Services at Bodelwyddan in Denbighshire at 8:14 BST on Tuesday.

The man, 35, was found dead. His family are being supported by specialist officers, the force said.

A 62-year-old HGV driver was arrested in connection with the incident.

The westbound carriageway of the A55 was shut until 16:45.

Officers investigating the crash want to speak to witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage of the man walking on the carriageway between St Asaph and Abergele between 04:50 to 05:10.
