Appeal after man dies in hospital following crash

Police are appealing for information after a man died in hospital following a two-car crash in Derbyshire.

The crash involved a Nissan Micra and a Honda Civic on the A618 Rotherham Road near Barlborough at about 19:00 GMT on Thursday.

The driver of the Micra, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and died in hospital, while the driver of the Honda Civic did not sustain any serious injuries, Derbyshire Police said.

The force is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage from drivers who might have been in the area at the time.
