New group formed for singing farmers

A singing group is being formed for farmers and others involved in agriculture in Lincolnshire.
Reverend Alan Robson, the Lincolnshire Agricultural Chaplain, said he hoped the group would bring people together.
Mr Robson said he wanted to recruit 20 people with the ambition of performing at a Christmas carol service in Lincoln in December.
Monthly rehearsals will be held at a church in Lincoln.
Mr Robson said he believed there was no shortage of musical talent in the agricultural community.
"If I could have a pound for every farmer out there who said, 'I used to be in the choir' and you look at some of them and think 'never', but let's bring some of them out of the woodwork."
He said the project was intended to raise spirits in "difficult times".
"It's a way of bringing people together and just having a bit of fun. It's a tough old world out there," Mr Robson said.
The first rehearsal will take place at Bailgate Methodist Church in Lincoln at 18:30 BST on 5 June when members will choose a name for the group.
