Students in Bradford were evacuated from their city centre accommodation after a flat fire.

The fire started in the kitchen of an apartment at Wardley House on Little Horton Lane on Wednesday morning, according to officers at the scene.

Four fire engines and one aerial platform attended, according to the officers, with no injuries reported.

Students were allowed back into the building, which is next to the Airobounce trampoline park, at about 11:00 GMT.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was approached for further comment.
