A motorcyclist in his 40s has died following a collision at about 18:50 BST on Tuesday

A motorcyclist in his 40s has died following a collision with a car.

Thames Valley Police arrived at Elmhurst Road at the junction with Hilton Avenue in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, after reports of a crash between a car and a motorbike at about 18:50 BST on Tuesday.

The driver of the car, who was travelling in a grey Nissan Qashqai, was not injured.

No arrests have been made, officers said, but the force has asked for any witnesses to the fatal collision to come forward.

Sgt Rob Chevalier, from Thames Valley Police, said: "Very sadly, as a result of this collision, a man has died of his injuries.

"I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage that may assist this investigation to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police."
