Police want to trace a man in connection with inquiries into a number of cars set alight in Hednesford.

Staffordshire Police said the fires happened between midnight and 03:00 GMT on Monday on Mount Street and Green Heath Road.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, which attended the scenes, deemed the blazes to have been started deliberately.

The force has reviewed CCTV footage, releasing an image of a man it wishes to identify. He is described as white, with a long beard, and wearing a grey, hooded sweatshirt and light-coloured trousers.

He was also said to be wearing dark trainers and gloves, with socks pulled up over the trouser bottoms.

No injuries were reported.

Police are encouraging people with information to contact the force.
