A man has died after a two-car crash in Staffordshire.

A grey Land Rover and grey MG collided on Hednesford Road near Rugeley at about 16:00 GMT on Saturday, Staffordshire Police said.

The driver of the MG, a man in his 40s, died at the scene. The driver and passengers in the Land Rover were taken to hospital for further checks, but their injuries were thought to be minor.

The force said it was appealing for information as officers try to establish the circumstances leading up to the crash.
