Hospital worker guilty of child sex offences

A hospital worker has pleaded guilty to a number of sex offences against children.
Tracy Turner, 51, from Roath, Cardiff, an operating theatre assistant at University Hospital of Wales, in Cardiff, admitted six charges of arranging the commission of child sex offences, and two charges of making indecent images of a child.
Stuart Compton, 45, of Cathays, Cardiff also pleaded guilty to six charges of arranging the commission of child sex offences.
Both defendants were previously charged with conspiracy to murder, but the prosecution indicated to the court that they have now been dropped.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to a number of other conspiracy charges, including conspiring to rape a girl, conspiring to sexually assault, and kidnap. Those charges will now lie on file.

Both defendants were remanded in custody, and will be sentenced on 28 July.
They were warned by judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke that a custodial sentence was inevitable.
