Man jailed for 24 years over historical sex abuse
A man has been jailed for 24 years after being convicted of historical sexual abuse of a woman and a boy.
Clive Penniall was found guilty of three counts of rape of a female over 16 and a domestic assault that occurred between 1993 and 2001.
The 55-year-old previously pleaded guilty to 11 counts of indecent assault on a boy and four counts of indecency with a child during the same period.
Penniall, of Wolverhampton Road West, Walsall, was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 4 December.
Det Con Sara Turton of West Midlands Police said: "Penniall subjected a child to years of repeated serious sexual abuse and raped a woman on a number of occasions.
"I am delighted he has received many years behind bars so that he can no longer pose a risk to the community.
"I would like to commend the survivors of Penniall's abuse, who found the courage to come forward and speak to us. Their bravery has brought him to justice and protected others from potential future crimes."
