A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed.

Police were called to an address on Hunderton Avenue, Hereford, at about 14:30 BST on Thursday where a 48-year-old man was found with stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

A 50-year-old woman was arrested shortly after at a disused railway line known locally as The Lines. She remains in custody while inquires continue.

Officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the area, with an increased presence on Hunderton Road and The Lines, the West Mercia force said.
