Fire crews tackling blaze at former college site
Fire crews from two counties are fighting a blaze in a village on the edge of Nottingham.
The fire started at the former St John's College site in Bramcote at about 19:30 BST on Sunday.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was working with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service to fight the blaze.
Ten fire engines, two aerial ladder platforms, a water bowser, command support vehicle and welfare unit are on the scene.
Nottinghamshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service are also in attendance.
A fire brigade spokesperson said: "The fire is in the roof and first floor of the building.
“We are likely to remain at this incident into the night.
"Please continue to avoid the area and keep windows and doors closed.”
