School bus crashes on icy road with children on board

A school bus carrying children has crashed in Lisbellaw, County Fermanagh.

It happened on the Tattygare Road shortly after 08:00 GMT on Wednesday morning.

There were eight post-primary children on board the bus, the Education Authority has said.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said there were no reports of any serious injuries.

The children were safely transported from the scene by family members.

The Education Authority said a review of the circumstances of the incident will be undertaken.
