Broadchurch waterfall to close after estate sold

A picturesque waterfall which featured in the Broadchurch TV series is to close to the public after the estate where it is located was sold.
Littlebredy waterfall and grounds, which opens under permissive access, will close from 2 June.
The Bridehead estate, which is the source of the River Bride, had been on the market for £30m.
Photographer Doug Chalk said visitors were "horrified" and "distraught" that access was being withdrawn.
A sign has appeared at the beauty spot which reads: "Permissive access into the Bridehead Amenity Grounds will be withdrawn as of Monday 2 June 2025."
Mr Chalk said: "It is the prettiest waterfall I have ever seen. It's lovely at all times of year.
"They have at least given a month's notice. My fingers are crossed that this is only temporary.
"It will be very sad. It means a lot to a lot of people."
The BBC contacted Belport, the company managing the purchase of the property, but a spokesperson said they were unable to comment at this time.
