A 20-year-old man was sentenced to 200 hours of unpaid work after a man was assaulted.

Jack Bracken, from Frome, appeared at Yeovil Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The charge was in connection with an incident in Trinity Street, Frome, in which a 27-year-old man suffered facial injuries on 14 June 2024.

Bracken received a community order until 12 May 2027 and a restraining order against the victim. He also has to pay £2,480 compensation to the victim.
