Final warning for PC who called colleague a 'Nazi'
A Leicestershire PC who called a superior officer a "Nazi" has been given a final warning.
PC Kam Pardeshi also made sexualised comments to a female colleague, a misconduct hearing was told.
The Nazi comment was made after he had been pulled up several times for not adhering to the force's dress code.
A misconduct panel ruled that PC Pardeshi's behaviour was so serious that a final written warning, lasting two years, would be appropriate.
The first incident happened after PC Pardeshi had been asked to comply with appearance standards around shirts and ties, the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) said.
In February last year, PC Pardeshi asked the superior officer questioning him why he was "being a Nazi" about the issue.
The senior officer said he was "deeply offended" by the term, the hearing was told.
'Shocked and disgusted'
Days earlier, PC Pardeshi made a sexualised comment to a female colleague at the force's tuck shop, which left her "completely shocked and disgusted".
The woman felt that he had gone "too far", adding that he repeated the comment to her a short time later.
While he accepted he had made the comments around the dress code, PC Pardeshi denied the sexual innuendo.
The outcome of the hearing, which took place between 3 and 5 December, was published by the force on Wednesday.
The misconduct panel ruled that PC Pardeshi made "deliberate and unwarranted utterances", which were "entirely unsolicited" and "unbecoming of any professional in a workplace setting".
The sexualised remarks were not intended to be "predatory", the panel said, but they were "sexist", "made at the expense of a female colleague" and "always likely to diminish and embarrass" her.
The panel accepted his behaviour was "out of character", adding that it came during a period of work that PC Pardeshi had "evidently found profoundly challenging" - but no further details of this were provided.
Det Supt Ali Tompkins, head of professional standards at the force, added: "The panel determined that PC Pardeshi's behaviour was misconduct, showing that this language isn't acceptable."
