Man to face trial after denying attempted murder

A man will go on trial next year after denying a charge of attempted murder.

Derbyshire Police was called to Abbey Street in Derby on 2 October after receiving reports a man in his 20s had suffered serious injuries.

Abdusalam Hassan appeared via video link at Derby Crown Court on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old, of Burton Road in Derby, is due to go on trial from 31 March next year.
