Biker, 77, killed in crash on A83 in Argyll

A 77-year-old motorcyclist has died in a crash on the A83 in Argyll.

Christopher Scott was on the route south of Clachan, near Tarbert, when the crash happened at about 12:00 on Thursday.

Emergency services attended and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said no other vehicles were involved and appealed for information to assist their investigation.

Sgt Archie McGuire said: "Our thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this difficult time."
