Driver spotted on wrong side of dual carriageway

A man has been arrested after a car was seen driving the wrong way down a dual carriageway.

The Ford Fiesta was driven along the A34 southbound between the A4 junction at Hungerford and Chieveley Services at about 01:30 BST on Sunday.

Police said a 36-year-old man from Camberley, Surrey, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses and drivers who may have dash-cam footage to come forward. The force said no-one was injured.
