Patients and visitors will be asked to wear face masks in some areas of Lincolnshire hospitals due to an increase in Covid-19, flu and RSV.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust said it was reintroducing face coverings in response to an increase in illnesses in the county's hospital and community settings.

The measures will apply in emergency departments, urgent treatment centres and admission areas.

Unless medically exempt, patients and visitors will need to wear hospital-provided type two R surgical face masks from 13 December.

The trust asked people visiting hospitals to regularly wash their hands, use hand gel and not to visit if they have been feeling unwell.
