An investigation has been launched after the "unexplained" death of a man following reports of a early morning disturbance.
Gwent Police officers were called to a house in Perth Court, Blackwood, in Caerphilly county, at about 01:15 GMT on Tuesday.
The 54-year-old man was found unresponsive inside the house. Paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed he died at the scene.
Police said a 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder but was later released from custody with no further action to be taken.
Det Supt Michelle Chaplin said the investigation continued, with officers treating the death as "unexplained".
"We will maintain a police presence in the area as we continue to establish what has happened, but we would appreciate any details from the public that could assist our enquiries," she added.
His next of kin are aware and are receiving support from specialist officers.
