A lightning strike has caused a building to catch fire on a farm in Aberdeenshire.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched nine appliances and a height vehicle to the scene near the A975 at Newburgh on Sunday afternoon.

No-one was reported to be injured in the incident, which came after an intense period of stormy weather.

A fire service spokesperson said crews remain on the scene.
