E-scooter rider seriously injured in crash with car

A call for witnesses has been issued following a serious collision in Northampton involving a car and an e-scooter.

The crash between a black Audi A6 and a Voi e-scooter happened on Barrack Road at about 16:45 GMT on Tuesday.

The e-scooter rider, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital in Coventry.

Two men, aged 24 and 21, both from Northampton, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Northamptonshire Police is asking for anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
