Cyclist seriously injured in crash with van

A cyclist has been seriously injured in a crash with a van in Shrewsbury, police have said.
West Mercia Police said the incident involved a white Nissan Panel van and a bicycle travelling in the same direction in Hanwood Road, towards the A5, at about 16:30 GMT on Friday.
The cyclist, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he was in a "critical but stable" condition, officers said.
No arrests were made, a force spokesperson added.
Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage are asked to contact police.
