A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after a single-car crash in north Devon, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a grey Volkswagen Polo with four local men inside it crashed on Mount Sandford Road in Landkey, near Barnstaple, at about 02:25 GMT on Saturday.

A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while an 18-year-old-man and a 27-year-old man also suffered serious injuries. A 17-year-old boy suffered minor injuries.

Police appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact them.
