An employee of Trade Mouldings died on Wednesday morning

A man has died after a workplace accident in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

It happened at the Trade Mouldings factory on the Sandholes Road on Wednesday morning.

In a statement, the company confirmed the dead man was one of their employees.

"Our condolences are with his immediate family at this time," it added.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said they attended the scene of a sudden death at the site.

The Health and Safety Executive, which investigates workplace accidents, has been informed.

Trade Mouldings mainly manufactures goods for the cabinet furniture market, including kitchen fittings.
