Man charged with growing cannabis after drugs raid

A man has been charged with producing cannabis after police found more than half a million pounds worth of the drug at a house in Rotherham.
Officers found about 640 cannabis plants when they raided the house on Doncaster Road on 15 April following a tip-off from the local community, South Yorkshire Police said.
Elton Kulemani, 34, of Main Street in Rotherham, has been charged in connection with the grow and is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 15 May.
Insp John Crapper from the Rotherham Central Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "Drugs have no place in our communities and cannabis cultivations can significantly impact the quality of life for residents and businesses."
