Woman arrested after man stabbed to death in street

A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a man who was stabbed in the street.

Cleveland Police launched a murder inquiry after a 34-year-old man was attacked outside a house on Lealholm Walk in Eston, near Middlesbrough, on Thursday night.

A 33-year-old woman from Middlesbrough is being held on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in policy custody.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the stabbing to come forward.

The man was found injured at about 21:00 GMT and was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he later died.
