Tidal conditions lead to rescheduling of ferries

The overnight sailings between the Isle of Man and Heysham have been cancelled

A number of Isle of Man passenger ferry sailings have had to be rescheduled due to tidal conditions.

The overnight return sailing of the Manxman from Heysham had a delayed departure time of 05:00 GMT because of the conditions in the Lancashire Port.

Subsequent sailings have also been pushed back as a result of the tides, with the the morning trip departing at 10:15 and it's return service due back in Douglas at 20:45.

In addition, the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has cancelled the Thursday evening's trip to Lancashire and its early-hours return have been cancelled.

The latest changes come after disruption over the weekend due to severe gales over the Irish Sea brought by Storm Darragh.

The Steam Packet has been using back-up vessel the Ben-my-Chree for additional freight sailings to help with a backlog.
