Detectives are appealing for a cyclist who may have information about a fatal collision between a car and a pedestrian in Doncaster to come forward.

Chris Greenaway, 55, died after he was hit by a white Vauxhall Astra GTC in Bawtry Road, Cantley, at about 23:30 BST on 21 June.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and causing death by dangerous driving.

South Yorkshire Police have now released CCTV footage of the cyclist, who was in the area at the time, and is believed to have information about the collision.

A police spokesperson said: "If you believe this could be you, or know who it is, please get in touch."

Following the collision, Mr Greenaway's family shared a tribute in which they described him as someone with the "biggest heart and an even bigger smile".

"Chris will always be remembered for his laughter, his love of animals, his passion for Liverpool FC and the unwavering love and kindness he gave to all who knew him," the statement said.
