Two arrested as assault closes city centre bridge

Two men have been arrested after an assault closed a city centre bridge for several hours this morning.
Ouse Bridge in York was closed following an incident at 01:40 BST in which two men and a woman suffered injuries.
One of the men was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, North Yorkshire Police said.
A man in his 20s and a man in his 40s, both from York, were arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in police custody.
The bridge has since reopened.
Officers have asked anyone who had witnessed the incident who had not yet been interviewed to contact them.
