Man shot in leg in 'reckless' attack

A man has been shot in the leg in a "reckless" attack, police say.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital after the shooting on Windsor Road in Tuebrook, Liverpool, at about 18:45 BST on Tuesday, Merseyside Police said.
A spokesman for the force said two men wearing all black with their faces covered were seen leaving the area on a bike after the attack.
Det Insp Jay Halpin said: "To open fire at someone in such a reckless manner could clearly have had much more serious, if not fatal, consequences."
Armed police and emergency services had been called to Windsor Road immediately after the attack, which officers said they believe was targeted.
Det Insp Halpin said: "We believe that the suspects fled the area on a bike and inquiries are ongoing to locate them and find the weapon used in this incident."
The force has asked anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage of the attack to come forward, along with any eyewitnesses.
