Dog attack leaves child in hospital

A child is in hospital with serious injuries after being bitten by a dog, police have said.

Dyfed-Powys Police said officers were called to reports of an attack on Bush Street, in Pembroke Dock at about 18.50 GMT on Sunday.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury. She has been released on bail.

A dog was seized and has since been put down.

The force said the investigation was ongoing and asked people not to speculate on the circumstances of the incident.
