Eleven people were assessed for minor injuries after a bus crashed into cars and was left hanging over a precipice at a hospital.

Of those injured at University Hospital Llandough, Vale of Glamorgan, on Thursday, two people were transferred to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and discharged the same day.

The vehicles have now been removed but the small car park at Llandough hospital remains closed.

The hospital said it was working to open the car park "as soon as possible" but warned patients to "allow additional time".

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the crash was reported to them at shortly before 14:45 BST on Thursday.

The bus appears to have careered through a barrier and fence, over the edge of a steep drop and into the wall of a multi-storey car park.

Cardiff Bus said it was working with authorities in connection with the crash.
