Cherry blossom tree in bloom at Benthall Hall

A cherry blossom tree which was planted more than 50 years ago is back in full bloom.

The Yoshino cherry tree is located between Benthall Hall and the former church of St Bartholomew in Broseley, Shropshire.

It was planted in the late 1960s by Sir Paul Benthall, a National Trust spokesperson said.

Benthall Hall, a 16th Century manor house, has been owned by the National Trust since 1958.

The trust has launched a Blossom Watch campaign to encourage people to share photos of their blossom discoveries on social media.
