Five arrests and dogs seized in hare coursing case
Five men have been arrested after hare coursing was reported in Norfolk.
Police said a member of the public reported suspicious activity and a dog on the loose on the A1270 just south of Spixworth at about 15:23 GMT on Monday.
Three men in their 30s, one man in his 20s and another man in his 40s were arrested on suspicion of hunting a wild mammal with dogs.
The man in his 40s was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a sharp, pointed article in public.
On X, officers said four dogs were seized along with thermal scopes and other equipment.
Two men were taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre and the other men were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
They all remain in custody while officers continue inquiries.
It follows the arrest of several people on suspicion of hare coursing-related offences after vehicles were reported on fields in the Cambridgeshire Fens on Saturday, 25 January.
