Inquiry after pedestrian hit by car
Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian who was believed to have been walking along a main road in East Sussex at night was hit by a car.
The crash happened on the A259 Barnhorn Road between Bexhill and Pevensey outside the Custom Cafe at around 20:20 GMT on Saturday, according to police.
The fire brigade, ambulance service and police all attended the scene.
No information about the condition of the pedestrian, who is in his 60s, has been released.
A Sussex Police statement said: "An investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances and no further information is available at this time."
Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the man walking along the road.
