Young musicians take part in Jersey competition

Young musicians in Jersey are set to compete in the final of an island-wide music competition on Saturday.
It will take place at the Jersey Arts Centre in St Helier at 19:00 GMT and six young musicians will take to the stage.
The winner will be crowned PwC Jersey Young Musician of the Year 2025.
Dr Graham Cox, one of the organisers, said he had been "blown away" by the standard of contestants this year.
'Very talented musicians'
Trumpet player Summer Watkins, flautist Emma Mwanga, vocalist Savanna Vogt, pianist Jason Hoare, percussionist Oliver Hutton and violinist Edward Clark are this year's finalists.
The Jersey Music Service, which runs the competition, said each finalist would perform a piece of their choice.
The winner will receive a trophy and £1,000 towards music studies.
It is the 33rd edition of the competition and last year's winner was flautist Cosimo Dhami-Hounsome.
Dr Cox added: "We have some very talented musicians in the finals and the adjudicator has a difficult task on his hands."
