An electric guitar signed by rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will be auctioned off for charity on Friday.

The 2024 Gibson SG was also signed by artists who performed at the Black Sabbath frontman's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, including Jack Black, Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Billy Idol.

The auction will be live on stage at a charity gala for Acorn Children's Hospice at the ICC in Birmingham.

Osbourne donated the guitar to the hospice, which cares for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

"This remarkable guitar symbolises a truly unforgettable moment in music history, and we are honoured to offer it as the crown jewel in our live auction at the Acorns This Town Gala Dinner," said chief executive Trevor Johnson.

"This is a must-have for rock fans and a chance to own something deeply special whilst also supporting our care for seriously ill children and their families.

"We are immensely grateful to Ozzy Osbourne for his extremely generous donation."

The gala dinner on Friday will celebrate the drama series This Town, which focuses on the music scene in the 70s and 80s in Birmingham and Coventry.

The evening will see guests experience a journey through 1980s Birmingham, the hospice said, with entertainment, live music and fine dining.

The hospice has sites in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester.

Osbourne and Black Sabbath are reuniting for one last time in 2025 to play a fundraising concert in the city on 5 July.

Funds will support Cure Parkinson's, the Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorn Children's Hospice.
