Road to shut for week-long resurfacing work
A route through Wolverhampton will close for more than a week while resurfacing work is carried out.
Part of Gorsebrook Road will be repaired between Glentworth Gardens and Carter Road from Thursday until 7 February.
The road will shut to traffic between 09:30 and 15:00 GMT each day, not including weekends, with bus routes also diverted.
A zebra crossing had already been upgraded as part of the work and a mini traffic island would be repainted to improve safety, the city council said.
A diversion route will be in place along Craddock Street, Hunter Street, Newhampton Road East, Waterloo Road, Ring Road St Peters, Stafford Street and Stafford Road while the work is carried out.
National Express West Midlands Wolverhampton number 62 bus service will also follow a diversion.
