Man died after Bali motorbike collision - coroner

A man from Cornwall was killed in a road accident as he travelled around the world, an inquest has heard.
The coroner was told Nathan Molyneaux had cycled almost 12,000 miles when he died in the crash, which happened as he rode a hired motorbike.
The inquest heard police in the Buleleng region of Bali said the 43-year-old lost control of the Yamaha motorbike as he rode down a steep hill and crashed on a sharp bend ending up in a ravine.
Mr Molyneaux from Saltash died from a head injury and his 27-year-old German friend who was the pillion passenger, also died.
'Out of control'
The inquest heard Mr Molyneaux, who had a PhD from Leeds University, had travelled from the UK, through Europe and Asia when the crash happened in May 2024.
The inquest in Truro, Cornwall, heard Bali police said Mr Molyneaux was riding the hired motorbike in bright weather when he failed to negotiate a sharp right-hand bend and crashed.
Assistant coroner Emma Hillson said the cause of the crash was undetected but the motorbike left the road on a steep bend.
She recorded a road traffic collision conclusion and said Mr Molyneaux was an "adventurous, fit man" who had an ambition to cycle around the world.
